My aunt has a protective order against her ex-husband, so I wonder if that one is temporary too. Is there a way to extend it?

Comment on How long does it take to get a divorce in Utah? by Camille Conor https://intermountainlegal.temporary-site.com/blog/family-law/how-long-does-it-take-to-get-divorced-in-utah/#comment-3 Mon, 27 Nov 2017 16:00:54 +0000 http://intlegal.encoreleadgen.com/?p=168#comment-3 To whom it may concern,

I would like to get an approximate timeline for the divorce process. To give you some background, my husband filed for divorce on Oct 4, 2017. We don\’t have any children, no property, we have debt but he said he would repay all of it. I would like to extend the divorce process for as long as I can to give us some time to hopefully reconcile. I would like to receive a breakdown of the divorce process timeline so I can get an idea of what needs to be done and when.

Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Camille Conor

Comment on Criminal Background Checks Prone to Errors and Discrimination by Jacob Olney https://intermountainlegal.temporary-site.com/blog/criminal-defense/criminal-background-checks-prone-to-errors-and-discrimination/#comment-8 Fri, 19 May 2017 04:25:04 +0000 http://68.169.45.196/utahdefenseattorney/?p=674#comment-8 My wife has an assault charge on her record, which the car was dismissed without prejudice immediately from the court. But it still shows up on her background check to get hey teaching certificate. What can we do to prepare or get this charge removed? Under utah code 77-18-15 (2) they have access to expunged records as well. But we don\’t want this charge that frankly she never should have received to prevent her from getting a job.

However, you can get some kind of the moral satisfaction.

I was wrong.

\”Highway\” or \”street\” means the entire width between property lines of every way or place of whatever nature when any part of it is open to the public, as a matter of right, for purposes of vehicular traffic.

The title says \’while operating a motor vehicle\’, but subsection 2 states:
\”A person may not use a handheld wireless communication device while operating a moving motor vehicle on a highway in this state…\”

No one mentions that this law does NOT apply to all city traffic. Why not?

I would think the intention of the verbiage would be to allow checking or manipulating the device while stopped at a red light. I\’m not an attorney but just curious as to why you took the stance above.
